There’s a place where we pretend our hearts aren’t aching. That we tell ourselves we aren’t wishing for more.
It’s a place where society convinces us that we’re not righteous enough, submissive enough - that our voice isn’t saying the right things and our bodies are too lumpy in all the wrong places.
There’s a place where we’ll willingly live within the walls built around us and we’ll try to measure up to outrageous expectations.
A place where we’ll throw ourselves into flames that melt our iron cores so we can beat ourselves into the right shape or tool for someone else's agenda.
In this place, we’re taught that doing these things equates to love. That by conforming we can finally earn enough of it to fill the gaping hole in our soul….if only we betray ourselves hard enough.
So we do it. We do it all. And all the while a silent rage builds. It simmers and smolders somewhere deep inside, but we dance ourselves silly around it pretending it isnt there. Desperate to do anything we can to Numb the pain.
Until, one day, our wildness, our truest self, will no longer be contained and the floodgates open and the fires of our rage finally have a way out.
Welcome to Wild Little Words - the place where our rewilding happens.
This is a space I wish existed ten years ago when I knew my life wasn’t my own but had no idea how to create anything different. Unwilling to let my dream of living a life all my own die, I fumbled and stumbled my way forward, forging a path so now you don't have to.
There IS space in the world for us - the creatives, neuro-divergents, the ones who can't stomach the self-loathing anymore, but know they can’t go this path alone.
Spoiler - none of us can.
We’ll have the tough conversations, the inspiring conversations, and ask the unaskable questions so we can intentionally build life the way it was always meant to be - affirming and sustaining from the inside out. Narratives on managing mindsets, re-training negative beliefs and re-connecting to our intuitions are all too common here and ways to grow livelihoods from our creativity will feel as natural to you as breathing.
We’ll build from the ashes up and in a way that will stand the tests time brings.
